In a storm where is my safe port?
Life isn’t always plain sailing or straightforward. It can be choppy, chaotic, turbulent.
So when I feel like I’m going to be thrown off balance, off course and tossed around, I need to be able to anchor myself.
Maybe the anchor is to my home port – it’s here when I settle myself into stillness; it emerges in the gentle act of following my breath.
Or maybe it’s found in an image of a special place, found in the texture of a special room, met in the embrace of a special person.
Let me continue the practise of finding my safe haven, the ground and centre within me, so that I flourish and thrive and not simply survive.
