Start the week with Peace

Koha Sunrise Monday Morning Class

Can we begin each week without conflict? Shall we encourage calmness & kindness?

Each Monday morning, we offer a special Sunrise class, where you have an opportunity to enjoy movement & stillness, infused with mindfulness.
This class is shared in the spirit of generosity ~ koha ~ dana. This means that you can book freely (via this website or Mindbody) and then share an amount of money that you choose. Each week we send all the money, in gratitude to Women’s Refuge; To support the heartfelt & significant work that they do in families that are suffering.
(You may pay by eftpos or cash. If you have a membership then simply book in as you normally would and that’s covered by us.

New Moon Authentic Movement
April 17, 2026 Friday 7:00pm – 9:30pm
Annabel & Levi
$35

Just 18 Spaces Available
On this special evening Levi and Annabel blend ‘Authentic Movement’ (AM), playful imagination, dance therapy and guided meditation practices. Inspired by the Authentic Movement teachings of Mary Starks Whitehouse (student of Martha Graham & Mary Wigman).

You will be invited to listen inwardly and allow movement to arise naturally from the body’s impulses.

The evening begins with gentle arriving and guided body-based meditations that awaken our awareness. From there we explore solo movement and partnered opportunities to witness and trust what is emerging naturally. (Moving & Witnessing’ & introducing the invitation of touch – ‘Contact Improvisation”.)

Concluding with invitation of an open group movement playing and resting into space together. We close with grounding meditation and the option to stay and enjoy connection of tea and nibbles.

Levi – a professional dancer & Annabel – trained with the New Zealand School of Dance (please see their bios below). No dance experience is needed this evening come with your curiosity and willingness to explore movement and stillness, sacredly intertwined together.

Levi: “5+ years as a full-time dance/movement artist, guided by my community. Everything I create comes from the people around me. I move with the intention to offer meaningful work in service of the people that give me everything. For me, movement is both a tool of creation and destruction – a language of transformation. My path is rooted in centring love through joy and struggle, and in continuously sharing and receiving knowledge, through our past, through our futures.”

Annabel: “Movement for me, is life. It brings me joy, peace, love, a sense of self, a coming home. For as long as I can remember I was always dancing and expressing myself through my body when words couldn’t express it all. I have trained in dance throughout my whole life, beginning in ballet and later contemporary, leading me to the New Zealand School of Dance. It was here that I began my yoga practice. I then deepened this practice with Space Studio’s 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. Always and forever a student of life, I find immense joy in guiding a yoga class through seva, selfless service, and allowing others the space and time to simply be.”
